Discovery B Team played last night and with the Championship game looking like it will be in Goshen, this was probably Gabi's last football game to cheer at. She has most certainly enjoyed this season. At first Gabi was a bit apprehensive about missing volleyball to cheer for football, but I think she feels like she made the right choice for her this year :)
Next....on to basketball season.

Discovery A
John Young played Discovery A Team last night at home and this could actually be the last game we play at home. Tonight we have B Team at Discovery and then the Championships are next week. Time and Place TBA. Gabi still looks like she is having as much fun as on day one of cheering :)
Had some new spectators come last night...Chad, Amber and the girls all got to come for this game. I know Gabi has been looking forward to that.
Uncle Dave, Aunt Annie and maw maw and paw paw were all in attendance again. The Reinoehl family goes big when it comes to support and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that. So glad everyone got to see Gabi cheer for football this season.

Tailgating and a birthday
I wouldn't say Saturday was perfect weather to tailgate in (58 degrees with scattered rain), but it happened to clear up and at least stay sunny while Gabi, Pam and I met up with Ben and Dave to tailgate before the Michigan vs. Notre Dame game. Ben headed over early with his co worker and his wife, Duane and Donnetta, to get set up. Dave met Ben thinking they were just going to tailgate and go back to his house to watch the game on his new tv he got. Cornhole, music and food was on the agenda. Little did Dave know that we had a surprise up our sleeves....Ben got tickets into the game and decided it would be a perfect opportunity to take big Michigan fan, Dave, for his birthday (on the 29th). Our family, along with Pam's family went in on the ticket and us girls (me, Pam and Gabi) showed up in time to watch him be surprised! I think he had a great time, even though Notre Dame pulled out the win this time.
Hoping Dave has a wonderful birthday!!! We really hope you had a good time!

Fall Decorating
Got my fall decorations out a few weeks ago to pull out the trick or treat outfits for camping. Got some new ideas from Pinterest - one of my all time favorite websites! And put together some decor inside this past week.
Happy Fall Ya'all!
And would you believe I just pulled this little beaut from the garden on Monday...and still getting strawberries, tomatoes and peppers!!!

Cold One
The wind made it extremely chilly for the football game tonight. I felt so bad for my Gabi and my cold rear end on that bleacher took me back to friday night football. I miss those nights, but wow, I remember sitting through some doozies when it came to weather. Lucky for us, no rain...but it was cold.
Gabi got in on a couple more stunts tonight. She really enjoyes the split stunt...in fact, any stunting she loves.

Fall Camping
We went to our favorite place to camp this past weekend for "Little Tykes Pumpkin Patch" weekend. Jellystone in Fremont, Indiana. Favorite.
Lots of activities on the schedule, not to mention the whole family up for the weekend, along with some football. Mom and Dad were able to snatch up a cabin so it was perfect. Weather cooperated nicely giving us warm temps during the day and cool temps at night for the fire.
Friday night was basically spent around the fire...talking and making s'mores and pudgie pies. These are moments I love.
Saturday morning we geared up for the big Michigan State vs. Notre Dame football game. Amber, being from the Michigan State area, of course, had to support her team. Her girls agreed ... as did our girl, with out team ;)
Pumpkin picking at the pumpkin patch was up first.
Next was ceramics.
And lastly, we did some trick or treating at the field. LOTS of little ones. Ruby even dressed up for the occasion!
The men pretty much enjoyed the day watching football games...
Went back to the camper for a "fall like" dinner before the game...bread bowls, chili, baked potatoes with all the fixins, apples/cookies with pumpkin dip, donuts and hot cider!! Couldn't have asked for a better menu. All great hits! Especially the chili and pumpkin dip I got from pinterest!
Chili
2 tsp. oil
2 onions, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb. ground beef
1 can 14 1/2 oz diced tomatoes
1 can dark beer
1 c. strong coffee
2 cans 6 oz tomato paste
1 can beef broth
1/2 c. brown sugar
3 1/2 Tbsp. chili sauce
1 Tbsp. cumin
1 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. cayenne
1 tsp. coriander
1 tsp. salt
4 cans 15 oz. kidney beans
4 chili peppers, chopped
Heat oil. Cook onions, garlic and meat until brown. Add tomatoes, beer, coffee, tomato paste and beef broth. Add spices. Stir in 2 cans kidney beans and peppers. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Add 2 remaining cans of kidney beans and simmer for another 30 minutes.
Pumpkin Dip
1 cool whip
1 instant vanilla pudding mix
1 can pumpkin
Mix well and serve with apples and/or vanilla wafers
Watched the game during the campfire...it was kind of chilly for me, but perfect for this time of year. So glad ND pulled out the win.
Sunday...always a sad day. Pack up day. The girls got in one more swim at the indoor pool and we were off for home by 2 pm.
