Christmas Day

We had Christmas Day with our own family in the morning.  I even made the kids stop and pose at the top of the stairs like they did when they were kids!  For a moment I saw that 13, 11 and 3 year old sitting at the top smiling....filled my heart completely with joy.

We had Ben's side of the family over for snacks and our gift exchange in the early afternoon.

And headed to Chad's in the evening for a dinner at his house.  Felt very blessed.

It's always a ball at my parents' house on Christmas Eve.  Love seeing everyone.

Special Gifts

Dylan (Gabi's bf) came over to exchange gifts on Friday.  Everyone was home so we had a good time having dinner, watching a movie and then Gabi and Dylan went to look at Christmas lights.

Christmas Eve Day we always exchange special gifts.  I felt everyone did an excellent job of capturing the true spirit of what we want the "special gifts" to mean.

Christmas Exchange With Friends

They may not always see each other, but it's like they haven't ever been apart when they do.  Love this Christmas tradition of Olive Garden and time with some good friends we love.  Blessed to have done it this past Sunday after church with them.  Perfect in time for Christmas.

Junior Winter Formal

Gabi had the day planned out for Winter Formals so we were praying it wouldn't get rescheduled because of the nasty weather we were supposed to get.  I painted her toenails Saturday morning, makeup at Ulta at 1pm, hair at 2:30pm, Dylan and Gabi pictures at our house at 4:45pm, pictures with group (Sydney, Alivia, Kylee and Gabi and their dates) at Kylee's house at 5:30pm, dinner at Bonefish at 6:30pm and the dance at 8pm.  The weather dealt us some difficult cards but it all worked out and she had a great time!
