Farewell Grandpa Honeycutt

Got some sad sad news Sunday evening...

Fall Activity with Lennox

Ben and I decided to take Lennox on Friday evening to a small Pumpkin Patch (U Pick) because they haven't had an opportunity due to weather/sickness.  We took her to dinner (Culver's) and then shopping (Meijer to ride the horsey)  for some stickers to put on the pumpkin too.  It was a nice quick little field trip we were able to enjoy with her.  Lennox was a little hesitant to walk in the vines at the Pumpkin Patch but she warmed up to the idea of all the flowers on the vines and watching papa pick out pumpkins.  She's adorable and we certainly enjoyed our little time with her.

Tailgate

Ben always likes to do a tailgate at Notre Dame when there is an evening game.  This year it is USC and Uncle Rusty and his family were all in town to throw one with us this year!  A little chilly (in the lower 50's and breezy) but alot of fun had by all!

First Doe of the Season

Ben killed the first doe of the season this year up at Ron's place in Michigan last night.  He asked that only does be taken from his property.  Unfortunately, I could have shot a nice 6 point buck (15 yards from my stand) and all the does I saw (at least 7) were 50 plus yards away.  Fortunate for us, though, they all headed toward Ben from me and he took one with his crossbow.  Dressed out at 131 lbs!

Dave and Ginger

Dave finally found his soul mate in Ginger Pratt from a little town in Tennessee just under a year ago and made it official on the 28th of September.  We had a nice weekend with the entire family.  We actually rented an airbnb that would house us, Tyler's family, Trenton and Susie and Gabi just 20 minutes from the venue (Cumberland Mountain State Park).  We rented a 15 passenger van, loaded up on Thursday morning 4 am and headed south.  Took Tyler and his family, Trenton and Susie, Gabi and also had room for Bren and Colby along the way.  Aunt Annie and Uncle Jay followed us with Pam and Leigh.  It was a very pretty and intimate wedding...just perfect for Dave and his bride.  So very very happy to see Dave happy.  Sooo...forewarned...lots of pics ahead as we all got cleaned up and looked pretty snazzy if I say so myself. And the last video is Ben's Best Man Speech...so very heartfelt.  Welcome to the family Ginger!
