Thankful, Grateful, Blessed

Was going to run the Turkey Stampede with Trenton, Ben and Gabi on Thanksgiving morning...in fact, we cooked the turkey overnight so we wouldn't feel rushed.  BUT, I woke up with vertigo at 5:30am.  Told Ben right away that we wouldn't be able to go run...needless to say, everyone was okay with it lol  I took some medication and lay down.  Luckily, started to feel a lot better a few hours later.  Thanksgiving went as planned from that point on.  Had a nice visit with our family.  I am certainly, thankful, grateful and blessed.

Deck The Halls

We finally got our big tree decorated.  Gabi wanted to wait for Ryan to get home yesterday to help.  Little Lennox helped me do our small tree.  Love seeing Christmas through little eyes.

Big Buck

Ben's buck dressed out at 198 lbs. and he thinks this is his biggest one he has gotten to date.  70 yard shot. Needless to say, he's checking around for prices on mounting again.

Another 8

After putting four does in our freezer so far this season (all from Ben), he got the big one out at Spicer Lake this morning.

Cardinal Stritch and Grandma's 91st

Stopped in at grandma's house last night to help her celebrate her 91st birthday on the 30th.  It was a nice visit complete with cupcakes and ice cream as we talked and watched the Notre Dame game.
Afterward we headed over to Bethel to watch them go 8-0 against Cardinal Stritch.  It was a good game and the cheerleaders looked good as always.  My parents and Trenton and Susie met up with us to help support her.

Leaves and Gunnar

That time of year...but this pup sure loves to run around!

Holy Family

Another win for Bethel against Holy Family yesterday and we took Lennox with us.  She did great - enjoyed the entertainment for sure and loved to wave at aunt Gabi every chance she could.

Sienna Heights

We got stuck in some stand still traffic for about 2 hours on the way home on Saturday so we missed Gabi's first game she cheered for against Sienna Heights...but my parents and Ryan were able to go and they caught some video and pics...it was a win so we are off to a great start!

See You Again, Grandpa H.

We took off for North Carolina on Thursday early...Ben, Pam and I.  Jenny and Travis came from Texas, Mackenzy flew in from Boston and Dave came from Tennessee.  All of the grandkids made it to his funeral...a small viewing for family only and then a graveside service followed.  It truly was a beautiful backdrop and I couldn't help to think that this was how grandpa would have wanted it.  So glad we were able to come and spend time with the family at grandma's house. A sad occasion, but so happy we were able to come together for him one last time.  We heard many many stories (as usual) and just soaked in the time we had as a family.  Grandpa will truly be missed.
