New Years Eve

Georgia played Ohio State this year for New Year’s Eve. Being the fans we are of Georgia (second fave college team) - watching the Dawgs pull it out right at midnight was fun!  Ryan and Gabi joined us as usual and we played Trivial Pursuit and Euchre. Ben and I actually won a euchre this year!  2022 was a year full of fun, travel, moving forward and it will be hard to top but we are looking forward to 2023

Hernia Repair

Ben finally had his hernia repair yesterday. He has had his umbilical hernia for many years. Probably caused at work when he worked in the warehouse but doctor thought it was time to get fixed. In fact, it had been there so long it caused damage to a muscle that also needed repaired. But no worries, Ben is doing great!  No mesh and no stitches to worry about.

Christmas Day 2022

Got up at 630 am to make homemade cinnamon rolls and an egg bake for breakfast. Trenton came over at 9 am and Gabi got up at that same time to eat and open gifts. This was a special Christmas. Ben gave both boys two guns each that his daddy bought (the boys grandpa who is gone now). Passing the torch. Ben said it was time. The boys have a new passion of hunting again. It was certainly one of the best moments today. We tried to give heartfelt gifts just as we do each year. I gave Ben a frame with a pic of his daddy’s hat in Canada with a beautiful tribute to his dad. Gave both boys a slate rock from Dave’s property in Tennessee with a Notre Dame painted on them. And gave Gabi a Recipe Book filled with special recipes from many in the family. They were all big hits. I got Accubow 2.0 I can use with an app to practice bow hunting from Ben. Certainly a cool gift!  I think we got all we wanted and more. Gifts that outdo a price tag. Gifts that mean so very much. We headed to Chads at 12:30 pm to do the Brugh exchange. Nice to spend time with the family. And lastly headed to Tyler’s to watch them open their gifts from us. It was a beautiful sunny white Christmas filled with family and much love. Blessed beyond measure.
