Last Cheer Banquet

So bittersweet attending Gabi’s last Cheer Banquet. Coach kept it light and pretty quick to avoid the tears, which I appreciated as well. But Gabi walked away with another MVP Award (3rd time), the All American Award and the 4 Year Award for Bethel Cheer. A bittersweet evening indeed.

Helms Awards

Thursday evening we made a trip to Bethel to be a part of the Helms Awards.  Even though Gabi did not win, she was nominated for "Athlete of the Year."  What a way to end her season.  So very proud of this young woman and being able to call her my daughter!

 

Good Friday and Easter

Thursday I let the kiddos color Easter eggs. On Good Friday Ben was off. We took all three kids to breakfast and then to the mall to visit the Easter bunny. Ben brought home a bunny costume. Eli took to that better than the one at the mall. This no pic from the mall. Sunday we went to early service with my parents and Trenton. My parents hosted lunch and an egg hunt for the kiddos like usual. The Grandbabes were excited about getting a bank for all their money they got and they loved the candy also. A good Easter. A bit cold (high of 42) but sunny. Very blessed to serve a risen Saviour. He is risen. He is risen indeed!
