48-15 was the final score against West Side last night with Gabi making a two point shot (see video below) and one free throw.

Pennies From Heaven
Found this today...and for those who follow my blog, you'll know exactly why it had me in tears (previous blog post in September)
Grissom
Had a good win 47-16 against Grissom tonight. Gabi had 5 points tonight...all free throws. Unfortunately, these girls seemed a bit scappy and Gabi got shoved quite a few times (as you can see in the pics) for those free throws...
And the shoves...

Northwood Win
I was so glad our Lady Jags got the win over Northwood last night 41-23. All of the girls got to play a good chunk of time AND they did well. Started off a little shaky, but they pulled it together. Gabi had two free throw points and one two pointer for a total of 6 points for the team. Very proud of her. I have to say, Northwood students were quite entertaining. They had a great support for their girls and really got into the game. Good to see that in a school.

Donkey Basketball
Uncle Dave has taken Gabi a couple of times when she was little to Donkey Basketball at Elkhart Memorial High School. From what I gather it is pretty comical. This event took place this past Sunday and Uncle Dave asked Gabi to come along. Gabi texted me during the game saying a donkey had pooped all over a lady's leg. The event helps Dollars For Scholars charity and is a blast for them to go to. I think it's special that they have "uncle/niece time" :)
Loved the pics they sent...

Loss to Northridge
29-38 was the final score against Northridge. The team just couldn't make their shots :( Gabi did make a 2 point basket though and played some tough defense as usual.

Team Effort
The Jags are back!! Back as a TEAM and that makes a HUGE difference. Gabi only had 2 points (from free throws) but she had some awesome passes and great steals in this game against Jimtown last night. The points were spread out amongst all the team members giving them an impressive win of 40-7!! They are looking more like a team others should worry about now!! So proud of them all!!! Way to go lady Jags!!

Tough Loss To Goshen
The Jaguars lost a tough game to Goshen last night 28-30 in overtime. Seems the girls just couldn't come alive for some reason and basically got out hustled. The girls did a little better in overtime but it was too little too late. I know Gabi was disappointed in the way she performed but we encouraged her to learn from what she thought she did wrong and do better the next game.

Naperville Visit
We made a quick trip out to Naperville to see Trenton yesterday. He has been having some troubles with the car and since it has been a while, we decided to go and figure it out with him and visit, of course. We got there about 12:30pm our time, dropped the car off and went for lunch at one of our favorite places to eat...Portillos. While Trenton got a haircut afterwards, we ran into the store with a list he made us and got some groceries he needed. We had some extra time to kill and figured the car would be finished fairly soon so we headed back to his dorm to relax. He was quick to show off their HUGE tv they got at Goodwill for $15 :)
We grabbed up his car around 3 pm and decided on a quick trip to Bolingbrook (just 15 minutes up the road) to Bass Pro Shops. It was a good visit.
The time went by very quickly knowing we had to get back on the road around 6 pm so we could be home in time to watch the big Gameday Game IU vs. Michigan Basketball. It was a rougher trip home with white out conditions but we made it in just over 2 hours and in time for the game.
Tyler sent us pictures throughout the day of him and his experience with Gameday being there. He even made signs.
The day ended perfectly with an IU victory over Michigan and with IU being put back into the #1 spot. Go Hoosiers!!! All in all, a great day for us visiting our boy.
