Crown Point Varsity Game

Gabi cheers with the JV team at every Varsity Home Game and this week was against Crown Point.  Hate to say it, but it was a heart breaker.  BUT, the student section and the crowd was awesome.  The Mishawaka community supported the Beaver/Ryor family this week (AJ was killed a couple weeks ago in an accident)...it was just neat to see the students bond together for him and the family.  #Blessed, ya know was his last tweet on twitter so the students have been going with that theme.
Good game...kept us on the edge of our seats the whole time...and Gabi got to be on tv too!  Love these hometown football games.  Lots of memories and nostalgia.  So glad the whole family (Trenton and Tyler) got to support Gabi on her first home Varsity game.  Love it!  And thank you maw maw and paw paw for coming too!

Portage JV

This morning was the first home game against Portage for the JV.  Gabi was pretty tired from cheering last night (didn't get home till after midnight), but she was up and at 'em at 10:30am for the game.  Glad Uncle Dave, maw maw and paw paw were able to come watch her.  So excited for a W for the JV team!

First Varsity Game

Coach asked Gabi to fill in at the first Varsity football game against Portage there last night.  A young man, AJ Ryor, was killed on Tuesday in a car accident.  One of the varsity cheerleaders (Wynter) is his sister and would not be able to cheer.  Gabi of course, said yes.  She was honored to step in.  Turned out to be a good game and the first W of the season!  Because I was so excited for her first varsity game and we were kind of in a pinch to get there on time, I left my camera at home.  Good thing I had my iPhone!  Go Cavemen!

First Day of High School

Yes, several mixed emotions this morning.  Gabi's first day of high school.  The last Reinoehl to go through MHS.  My baby.  And been through this before, I know how fast these four years will go.  But at least I know to savor every moment.  As I dropped her off this morning I said a prayer while driving away..."please watch over my baby girl...give her genuine friends, guide and direct her every decision, keep her safe from harm."

Wishing her the best day...with an anxious heart.

MHS JV Football Cheer Pics

Gabi had her pictures today for Football Cheer.  She made the JV team and we couldn't be more proud of her!  Back to MHS to cheer on the Cavemen!

Cavemen Competitive Cheer - First Competition 2014

Mishawaka got some new coaching staff this year for the Cheer team and the ladies decided they would love to do a Competitive Cheer Team.  Gabi made that team, as well as JV Cheer this year.  In fact, we also started a Cavemen Competitive Team Cheer Club (got voted in as VP this year).  We more or less pressured the coaches into getting our feet wet at the Elkhart County 4H Fair Competition.  This gave the coaches almost a month to work with to get a routine together and work with the regular Cheer team learning all the new cheers, etc.  LOTS of work.  We ended up using alot of what the 8th grade Cheer Team used last year at their Big 11 Competition, throwing in a few more stunts and more tumbling.
We competed against teams today that have been competing for many years and we ended up with 3rd place (out of 5 teams).  Not too shabby.  Really feeling like we have something to work with and the girls LOVED it.  We are excited about this team!
