Tyler headed to sunny Florida with his buddy, Ben over Christmas. Forest River is shut down this week so the two of them rented out a vacation home with Ben's parents' help. He left on Friday so we had an early Christmas for him on Thursday Evening. Tyler didn't want or need anything but cash for his trip. I did a couple of extras for him which he loved.
Friday evening Ben, Gabi and I helped serve at the Homeless Shelter in South Bend with the Marker family from St. Mark. What an experience. You know it was a good idea when Gabi leaned into me during the service and said, "I'd take giving over receiving any day, mom." Such a humbling experience for us all. Definitely glad we were able to do this.
