Because of the Covid 19 and quarantine, Tyler and Caitlyn opted to not have a party for Lennox. Instead they let a few people at a time come and visit with them if they wanted to make little Lennox feel special. We brought her balloons and a cake for her birthday. Gabi and I snagged up the babies over her birthday weekend also for a quick stroller ride on the River Walk while the weather allowed us to. They loved seeing the ducks and squirrels and taking Gunnar on a walk. This will for sure be a year to never forget....and I will not take for granted the time we have with all the family. Ever. Because that is what I miss the most. Family and extended family time. Friends. Special moments. I miss it. I am thankful that I am able to still watch the kids three days a week for Caitlyn in the mornings. The kids sure love to spend time with Aunt Gabi also.

Appreciation for Medical Personnel
Friday evening we set out to St. Joseph Hospital with a group we saw on facebook inviting people to make signs and show appreciation for the medical personnel during this time....
it was good deed and I'm so glad we opted to do this.

Easter Weekend Quarantine
Because of the Stay at Home order til next week, we decided to keep our distance from the family. Saturday we did go to Tyler and Caitlyn's house to watch the kids do an Easter Egg Hunt in the yard since it was nice outside. We did keep our 6 feet distance though...or so I tried :)
And on Sunday we worshipped by watching the sermon online and I decided to make a smaller version of Thanksgiving dinner for the three of us (Ben, Gabi and me) and we would box up the rest for Trenton and Tyler along with their Easter baskets...
Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, noodles, deviled eggs and cake was the menu. Sure missed spending the day with the family...but we improvised the best we could.

Staying Busy
Amidst the "Stay at Home" we have just really been trying to do some home improvements...we have worked on the yard, replaced all the electrical plates etc. in the house, working on new hardware for the tub and shower, put out new rocking chairs on front porch, put up a new flagpole also....just trying to stay busy and productive...
Missing the Grandbabies
Since Tyler has been shut down they have been staying home with him in the mornings leaving me to catch up with United Family work...but as long as we are healthy we sneak in a visit every now and then...especially when the weather is nice and they are outside....missing those babies so much...Gabi and I had to sneak a visit in with them this morning to decorate some sugar cookies for Easter...such sweet babies.
Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Haven't posted much since the world has pretty much been on lockdown because of a Coronavirus that originated in China in January ish. It's really blown up here since and we have been in a "Stay at home" order since the end of March. We have been told to use masks and gloves when we are at essential places of business such as the grocery store. The kids have been out of school and not planning to go back for the remainder of the year. All the colleges are online as well so Gabi has been home with us. I had Madden a week before Tyler got shut down as well. We had a fun time getting used to E Learning. Not sure how to feel about all this and being afraid of getting sick...especially with my daughter in the medical field. The day that Elkhart County got their first positive case of COVID-19 Gabi was actually on the "Coronavirus Wing" of the hospital. I set up a station in the garage for her to disrobe and sanitize. She has not had to be back to the hospital yet, but in a way I am relieved. The nurses and doctors are really on the front lines and truly are the heroes in the pandemic. I'm praying that we get out of this weird thing of "normal" now - masks and gloves and 6 feet of social distancing....
