Terrific Tuesday

Busy day today. Stopped at my parents this morning to say good luck to my niece, Presley.  She leaves for Ball State in just two days.  My mom had a beautiful breakfast for Presley, Addy and Reese. She invited grandma Jones and me also. It was a good time visiting with the girls. Then at noon Gabi and I finally got our mother/daughter tattoos she’s been wanting us to get. Very happy with it. And then last thing tonight was dinner with Tyler, Lennox and Eli. Cait and Madden stayed home to get some things done before Lennys meet and greet with her kindergarten teacher, Mrs Fleming. So glad she got her. I was able to sub for Mrs Fleming a lot last year and this year she has opted to use me exclusively when I’m available. And having Lennox in the class will be a bonus. A good day all around. 

Barbie

Ben left for Canada last night so Gabi and I spent the entire day together and it was a blast. 

Church, the Mishawaka Market and then the Barbie movie. Any girl who has played with Barbie would have the feels watching this movie. So many different meanings to take away. Loved the quote “We mothers stand still so our daughters can look back and see how far they’ve come.”  

Very special to have seen it with Gabi. A good day indeed. 

Camping Weekend and Birthday

It was just Ben and me this weekend but talked my parents into going since it was my dads birthday yesterday. It was cloudy but rain free til late Saturday. We took my parents out on the lake to float a bit Saturday afternoon and then in the evening we made t bone steaks, cheesy potatoes and a cucumber salad for my parents for dads birthday. Mom brought a triple chocolate cake and caramel moose tracks ice cream to celebrate. It was super chill but very meaningful.  We headed out a bit early this morning because of the rain (rained lightly all night and was scheduled to rain all day on and off) but we were grateful we had a good Saturday. Happy birthday dad!

Blueberries

Got some good pickins this evening with the grands. So much fun and perfect evening. I can see blueberry muffins and pancakes and cobbler and pie in the future. Even some jam!
