The Grands’ First ND Game

Got the grand babes to their first ND game against Stanford. Perfect weather for them but Lennox had a bit of a stomach bug. They did awesome considering.  Made it to a little into the third quarter. Trenton, Reese and I ended up leaving after the third quarter for a lightning delay but they were winning handedly anyway. 

We got to ND just in time for the player walk which was super cool!  

Water Tower

Got to go up to the top of the new water tower in Mishawaka - corner of SR 23 and Main with my boss Phil, the Director of water (Lina’s boss), and the two previous Directors of wastewater this morning. Such a surprise when my boss asked me to go with him. 8 flights of stairs and 58 foot straight ladder through a hole.  Had to use rappelling gear on a line going up the ladder. Needless to say I was scared to death but it was so worth the views. 

Med Flight

Gabi had the opportunity to go with Med Flight today. Steve Shedd, a friend from high school oversees the program in our area and we reached out to him earlier this year to see if Gabi could do a ride along. Unfortunately, the helicopter had a broken part so they were grounded all day. Gabi just hung with the crew til about 4. Came home, napped and went back for a training they were doing and they were able to get the helicopter fixed for. She said it was awesome!  She’s still hoping for a call this evening so we will see.
