New Year’s Eve

Wanted to do something fun with my family on the last day of the year so we took the kids and grandkids to Strikes and Spares for some bowling with pizza and fun!  It actually turned out to be my best bowling game as well!  Goodbye 2021. Welcome 2022!

Christmas Day

Started the morning out with Gabi opening stockings. She went out and got Ben and I both gifts. She’s so thoughtful and loves to give to others. I cherish that about her. She’s alot like me in that way. Trenton came over for breakfast - an egg casserole and homemade cinnamon rolls. He also then opened gifts at our house with us. Loved giving Ben his live edge map of the lake he fishes in Canada. I had them put special places on it for him. Gabis special item was a hanging cutting board with my moms and bens moms recipes in their handwriting.  Trenton’s special gift was a pic of him and Ben with his deer he got this year and awaiting the head mount. Tyler’s special gift was the pic of him and Trenton at Notre Dame stadium when they were young and now. Also a gift card to get Eli’s footprint tattooed to go with the others. Ben got me my Ember mug temperature controlled and a nice North Face jacket among many other gifts I asked for. Gabi got me Gucci perfume and cute huggable earrings. So sweet. 

After the exchange at home we made our way to Chad and Ambers house for lunch. Smoked ham, salad, green bean casserole, hash brown casserole and bread was on the menu. Fun time and nice being with the family. Gabi had me there and for me an aerie sweatshirt and some cute cabin slippers. Trenton had Ben and got him a cool wood burned flag with navy on it. Also a tree stand umbrella. Dad had gabi and for her a pretty sweater and jeans. Ben had Trenton and he got him a new hunting back pack and hunting gloves. 

We headed to Tyler’s house after to take them their gifts. The kids got plenty. Lots of clothes. We scaled back on the toys this year though. Got Eli a big semi truck, Madden a laser tag game and Lennox a Chelsea Barbie with camper. Enjoyed watching them open. A good Christmas indeed.
