Cavemen Competitive Cheer - First Competition 2014
Mishawaka got some new coaching staff this year for the Cheer team and the ladies decided they would love to do a Competitive Cheer Team. Gabi made that team, as well as JV Cheer this year. In fact, we also started a Cavemen Competitive Team Cheer Club (got voted in as VP this year). We more or less pressured the coaches into getting our feet wet at the Elkhart County 4H Fair Competition. This gave the coaches almost a month to work with to get a routine together and work with the regular Cheer team learning all the new cheers, etc. LOTS of work. We ended up using alot of what the 8th grade Cheer Team used last year at their Big 11 Competition, throwing in a few more stunts and more tumbling.
We competed against teams today that have been competing for many years and we ended up with 3rd place (out of 5 teams). Not too shabby. Really feeling like we have something to work with and the girls LOVED it. We are excited about this team!

Annual Waffle Farm Campground Get Together
On Saturday, we invited Uncle Kenny/Aunt Sharon and Uncle Rusty/Aunt Julie, along with Brandon/Lexie and Ryan this year to join us in the fun. Uncle Rusty/Aunt Julie actually came up Thursday, Brandon/Lexie and Ryan on Friday and Uncle Kenny/Aunt Sharon on Saturday. They all stayed in a local hotel and just visited and did lake activities on Saturday. We had a great time. Boat rides, sand bars, tubing, skiing, walks, talks and lots of laughter rounded out the week on Saturday night.
Was so fun to watch Tyler, Brandon and Ryan tube behind Uncle Rusty
Tyler was beyond tired afterward.
We had plenty of fish for the fish fry and it was delicious! My dad caught a big bluegill on a piece of sausage off his dock at the cabin!
IU Alumni sporting Kilroys shirts
Great pic with props :)
And we celebrated Aunt Sharon's birthday and Chad & Amber's Anniversary with cake!

Tubing and Sand Bar
Uncle Rusty came up on Thursday and took the older kiddos for some serious tubing.
In the meantime the rest of us chilled at the sand bar.
Ben and Tyler fished at the sandbar as well..getting more fish for the fish fry.

Waffle Farms Week (Sunday-Friday)
We spent our vacation this year at Waffle Farm Campground in Coldwater, Michigan camping with my brother and his family. My parents actually rented a cabin on the same lake for the week also so we spent the entire week doing lake activities. The first night we gathered at maw maw and paw paws cabin to eat dinner and the girls got to have fun with watermelon.
Can't NOT love this view.
The first night the girls got right to fishing off our site.
Love this pic of my dad and Ben. He took time out to explain some of the new fishing equipment my dad should use!
View from our site
Tubing was in order on Monday! The kids couldn't wait!
My parents rented a pontoon for the week - they stocked it daily, thus we ended up calling it "The Snack Shack" Needless to say, it's where the kids hung out.
Ben with Maizy. She loved being by the water.
View from our bed in the camper...what a site to wake up to.
Rainy morning UNO (on Tuesday)
Gunnar loved camping
Tyler and Abby with Maizy
More tubing...
Tyler tried dropping a ski to go slalom...he is still working on it.
He can definitely handle two.
Abby learned to ski! Up on the second try!
Love Tyler in the background. He was excited for her.
Abby helped our cause of trying to get Gabi to learn...Tyler helped her. She was up on the first try!
Yep, mom still has it!
And Chad owes Ben $100 for doing a 180 degree turn on the knee board.
Presley even giving skiing a try. She almost has it! Love the pic of mom and dad helping her.

Tyler and Gunnar just chillin
Tuesday morning Ben got up early to take the real fishermen fishing...Dad, Presley (with Chad), and Tyler to catch some fish for the fish fry we had planned on Saturday. Presley loves to fish and she showed it by getting up at 6:30am to go out!
Two beggars every morning for breakfast
We also left the campground for some fun while it was so windy on Tuesday after the rain. Adventure Park was just minutes away so we did some go carting. The first night the girls got right to fishing off our site.
