NCA Camp at Holy Cross

The Mishawaka Cheer team is finally going to NCA Camp at Holy Cross this year!  The Cheer Club that I helped start has made it happen!  Gabi was excited to get there yesterday morning.  She called last evening to tell us she, Alivia and Asia are all Captains.  AND...just got word she got nominated again for All American Tryouts.
They have individual rooms at camp...giving her a real college feel.  She told me one of their first activities was to get together with the Seniors....to group together and picture the last high school football game, last high school basketball game, etc etc.  She said she was in tears.  Soooo very bittersweet for her being a Senior this year.  Looking forward to hearing all about her week and sharing more pics as I get them.

Bears 5K

I was very excited to be able to run the Bears 5K in Chicago and visit with Trenton today.  We headed into town last night and got up bright and early for the event.  FUN time for us all!  And we even got to meet Jason McKie and Adrian Peterson (players 2003-2009)!

Last Kiddie Cheer Camp

The last Kiddie Cheer Camp for football season was held last week and Gabi took on the little kindergarten girls and also choreographed alot of the dances/cheers/chants they did all week.  Very bittersweet and she was excited that cousins Presley, Reese and Leigh all were able to come!

Camping and Father's Day 2017

We actually decided to camp at Circle B Campground in Angola, Indiana with my parents over Father's Day weekend as a quick get a way and trial run before our annual week at Waffle Farms next month.  We got a site right on the little river area near dam and it was very relaxing.  We were a bit afraid that the weather was going to be rainy, but the rain held off until Sunday.  Saturday was beautiful.  We even snuck in some lake time...my mom, Gabi and I did some paddleboarding, while my dad and Ben took the paddle boat out along side us.  Spent the remainder of the day just relaxing, walking, talking and ended it with a rib feast on the grill.  Definitely what we needed to kick start this week.  Thankful for good fathers in our lives and we celebrated them.
