Last First Day

And so it begins...yesterday was Gabi's last official "first day of high school"
She is a SENIOR!  And last week she started her new job at Platos Closet, which she is super excited about!

Logan's Run

Ran the Logan's Run 5k yesterday...great run around Notre Dame for a great cause!  Disappointed though because it showed that I PR'd for a little bit and then the time changed and I went over my original PR by 3 seconds.  Ben swears I PR'd but I have not way to prove it.....BUT I did get second in my age group :)
Blessed that Gabi and Ben both came to watch me.

Being on the Cavemen Cheer Club has come with perks...like talking them into Senior Posters during football season....so excited for this!  Yes, Gabi's cute face will be gracing the inside of the courtyard as you enter Mishawaka's stadium this fall!

Mackenzy

Jenny, Travis, Mackenzy and Lucas made it up to Indiana before Mackenzy leave for Berklee (Boston) in August.  We have been at Waffle Farms so we were only able to catch them last night.  BUT it was nice to have all the cousins on that side together at once!

We had a mixture of rain and sun, but the week was nice because we had family all week long.  And nature...so much nature.  Found a baby possum, watched a baby raccoon all week, Ben tried to save a doe stuck in the water (but she didn't make it), watched turtles, cranes, ducks and we fished!  Loved being with everyone and blessed that our family takes time to be with each other.
