Ben and I were in charge of our first "Alumni Night" at Mishawaka High School last night during the Lakeshore Dual Meet. Since I took Gabi to her choir concert, I left Ben with those duties. He did a great job. We got some media coverage (Fox 28) and the newspaper was there as well. We honored our first team state wrestling team which happens to be from the year we graduated - 1991 (20th year reunion). Just so happens that the choir concert got over just a little bit after the meet started so I hurried over to the high school to catch Tyler's match. He pinned his kid in the first period with a move called the "broomstick." It is supposedly a "junk" move, but Tyler said it was there and he went for it. He joked about it when he got home last night. It's good to see him smile about wrestling. It was certainly slow to go at first...
His match was so fast, I barely got any pictures or had time to catch any...but here is a couple. Mishawaka won the dual meet 37-28. Saw some good wrestling again tonight from the team. Big tournament tomorrow at Calumet where we should face some ranked teams. Looking forward to it!
