The venue was amazing! Excitement for the day was everywhere. Unfortunately for us, Day 1 was rough. We had a girl not able to finish her tumbling pass and we also had a stunt fall.
We shook it off and headed for the Arena where Level 5's perform and are actually filmed for tv (ESPN) at a later date. Talk about HUGE!!!!! And the people. WOW. Amazed.
After we watched a few of the level 5's perform we headed out to lunch with some of the team members. We were going to try a Barbecue but ended up at a small Italian place that served great pizza! Campisis on Elm Street. YUMMY! Because the weather was so crummy still (in the 30's, snow and freezing rain), we opted to just go back to the hotel and relax. The team decided they wanted to do a team dinner later so we ended up at Grand Lux in the Galleria Mall that evening. It was good for the girls to bond together. I know quite a few were still feeling bad about that day's performance. Below are pics from our Saturday...
