Gabi didn't do the long jump because her knees were bothering her so she ran the 100m dash and the 4x100m relay (both JV). The 4x100m relay team placed first in JV and 3rd overall. Proud of that girl...she loves her 4x100m relay team.
Glad my dad was able to come along with us to watch and support her.
100m dash - 14.10
The girls and boys had a meet against New Prairie and Riley last night at New Prairie. The Mishawaka Girls won (Mishawaka 83 NP 64 and Riley 24)
Gabi only did Varsity in the Long Jump this time since Alexis Jackey is back on the relay team (4x100)...She explained that Coach wants a fast B team 4x100 and he got one....Skylar Norris, Kylee, Gabi and Dee...they actually placed second overall in the 4x100 running against Mishawaka's own Varsity team. Gabi was excited about that. And watching Gabi cheer on Kylee in hurdles always warms my heart.
She ran in the 100m dash (placed 2nd in the second heat) but skipped out on the 200m dash this time because she was complaining of her knees bothering her. It was fun to see Kylee pass the baton on to Gabi though...I'm so happy these girls are having fun in track.
She kicked it up and got 2nd place in the second heat of the 100m dash!
Gabi just did long jump (12-9.75)and the freshman/sophomore 4x100m relay today (54.62 and fastest JV relay that Coach has had) at the Penn Invitational. Glad that Uncle Dave and Tyler came to support her as well.
