Sunday we decided to tackle Clifty Falls State Park and the trails. Talk about trails...wow. Such beautiful landscape. We started the day by driving a big loop Indiana to Kentucky and Kentucky back to Indiana just to see what was around...which showed...pretty much, nothing. We stopped in at Subway, grabbed some snacks and headed to Clifty Falls. We started around 11:30am and got finished about 3pm. Guessing we hiked a good 5-7 miles, at one point going off trail (I actually ended up falling in the creek)! The only wildlife we saw were some turkeys, but the park was fantastic!
We talked to our host at the hotel and she suggested we check out Broadway Hotel and Tavern...considering it is Indiana's oldest tavern. The bar made of beautiful wood...lots of history there. Had dinner there and then walked along the Ohio River for a bit. Pretty day....lower 60's and plenty of sunshine.
