So I ran my first 10K after training (Hal Higdon's training schedule for 6 weeks) in the Sunburst and did well! My goal after seeing "Hallelujah Hill" was one hour and 15 min. I crushed it, running close to my average pace I am comfortable with training. 9-10 minute mile. Was so excited that my parents, Chad/Amber's girls (they are in Florida for his birthday), Tyler, Gabi and Ben were all able to come and support me. Seeing them just past the half way mark did give me more confidence and adrenaline to keep going strong. Felt pretty good afterwards and honestly wouldn't mind doing another 10K in the future. Aside from being tired (got up at 5:15am) and my hamstring kinda sore, most likely from the hills and terrain, I'm feeling good about myself and my accomplishment!
