Mother's Day in Quarantine
For the first time ever, we were unable to spend Mother's Day at my parents' house with my mom's side of the family and it truly was sad. Also a sad day because it happened to be the anniversary of Ben's dads death. But we remembered some really good times with him and were even greeted by some orioles (one of his favorite birds) at the feeder outside the kitchen window as we ate. Ben wanted to make the day special so we got some huge T-Bones to grill and invited Trenton for lunch. He came about 1:30pm and we ate a lupper around 2pm. Our visit was good and we took off to do a drive by and quick drop off to grandma Jones house, my parents' house and then we ended the day with a visit with Tyler and his family. All the kids got me a nice card and I honestly felt very appreciated and loved. The night was capped off by watching one of our favorite series right now, with only two more episodes left..."The Last Dance" - a documentary following Michael Jordan. And wow. We have been impressed with that so far and last night was probably the best two yet. Loved my gifts...a beautiful painted picture that Gabi had done of me and her, some chocolate, a candle, some bath soap and a Yeti gift set - yes, I finally have a Yeti like everyone else!!! lol A great day, even if it was in quarantine, made special by seeing all my kiddos.
