Waffle Week

This year was a little different. We were in our seasonal while my parents and my aunt Carol camped together. The McClellans (Duane And Donnetta) actually took our site we were supposed to have and the birth of their new grandson prompted Duane to camp by himself while Donnetta was with their daughter. Also Joe and Lina ended up in the Faulkner cabin the same week also. Many friends and family this week. We did our family dinner on Wednesday while everyone was there, including uncle Kenny and aunt Sharon who came for the day. Brandon smoked a pork butt again so we did a carry in. He also got us all shirts this year!  We continued our fishing contest this year but did an adult big fish winner and under 18 big fish winner. Bennett and Trenton won the plaques this year. The weather seemed a bit different. We had a couple days where it was rainy in the morning giving us a late start at the sand bar. Didn’t get our night ride in, our trip to get ice cream and Ben didn’t get to rush with Brandon. The guys did get their golf time in though one morning. We had a good week of laughs, catching up and of course fun by the fires with s’mores and pudgy pies. Thankful for such a great family.
