Cookies

Can you believe there are only 12 days to Christmas? I cannot believe the time has gone by so quickly! This year has been terrible for me as far as baking cookies. I usually have my cookies done and in the freezer by Thanksgiving. Yes, that's right, I freeze them - it is so much less stressful to have to take them out of the freezer to unthaw then have to worry about making cookies when it gets so close to Christmas. This year was certainly a reminder since I don't even have them made yet. At least I have most of the Christmas shopping done, I still have a few things here and there, but other than that, it is done. That's a good thing. As for the baking, I will be going to the store today to get some ingredients to make some cookies. Since it is so late in the game, I just won't make as many different kinds...focus on the ones we really like instead. The kids always enjoy the cutouts, thumbprint cookies, and of course, the peanut butter with hershey kisses on top! That sounds like a good bunch - easy too! I will also be trying a different recipe for the "thumbprint cookies." It looks wonderful! I'll let you know how they turn out. Until then...finish up work in the office, off to the store, make calls for food for the tournament on Saturday, get started on those cookies, get dinner layed out, and off to a wrestling meet. 12 Days and counting...
