Flood

The reason it has taken me so long to catch up on some blogging is because we just got the computer put back together in some order.  The 150 year flood hit us hard almost 3 weeks ago and our neighborhood where most of us have never had water in our basements, got it.  And alot.  We have been battling standing water covering most of our basement for the entire 3 weeks.  After the first week we decided it was time to get the carpet and padding out and Trenton was able to help us get most everything upstairs and in the garage.  Needless to say, my house is not in the best condition with everything everywhere.  Yesterday, however, was the second day we have seen dry floor!  Just a few puddles.  We are trying to dry out real good and then we will seal all the cracks.  Not looking to completely finish the basement since we really don't use it much anymore since the kids are older, but we will most likely paint the floor and use area rugs.  Much easier if this happens again.  The last three weeks have certainly not been the easiest.
