Mannheim Steamrollers

Ben surprised me a couple weeks ago after I mentioned that I would love to see Mannheim Steamrollers at the Morris Civic Auditorium...they are a group I have listed to for quite some time thanks to my mom...especially at Christmas.  We were able to have a date night last night (dinner at Logans) and see them.  When the show was over I was ready for a winter wonderland and Christmas!

Out with Thanksgiving...In with Christmas

Traditions around here allow for us to wait until after Thanksgiving to put up Christmas decorations.  We did that throughout the weekend after the big day and invited Gabi's boyfriend, Dylan over to help.  And we had to say goodbye to Trenton Monday morning to get back to work...was a nice Thanksgiving with everyone together.

Happy 60th Uncle Rusty!

Brandon threw Uncle Rusty a nice surprise 60th birthday party on Saturday night so my entire family was able to come.  Nice to have everyone and then some together to celebrate such an awesome guy!

Thankful

I got Gabi and Ben to run the Turkey Trot (2nd annual) with me on Thanksgiving morning.  I started off with both with a mindset of trying to pace them and finish with them, but they encouraged me to just go ahead after a while.  Ben held back more with Gabi ... her goal being to beat her PR last year of just over 33 minutes.  Happy to say, she did it!  And Ben accomplished his goals...to run entire thing, to finish under 30 minutes and to beat me...let's just say he accomplished 2/3.  

 We did Thanksgiving at our house as usual...and what a feast!

Boys BBall - Elkhart Memorial

Gabi was super excited to cheer for the boys first basketball game last night since her boyfriend, Dylan plays.  They won a close one in overtime so it was a great game to watch!

Girls BBall - Adams

Thursday night we cheered at a Girls Basketball Game against Adams.  The girls lost but it was an opportunity to see the new squad of cheerleaders since the coaches opted for tryouts for Basketball season this year.
