Lake Day

This past Saturday was so hot...in the 90s and sunny and we aren’t quite ready to say goodbye to summer just yet so Ben, Gabi and I loaded up and took the boat to Waffle Farms to spend the afternoon on the lake with Chad and Amber and family, and get our fix at The Willows. We are safely outside on the dock and enjoyed the day. Ended the day with a campfire visit with my brother and his family. Definitely a good day - good for the soul. 

Gabi is a Junior!

So Gabi is back to school now for a week now. In person so far and thankful for that. I mean, honestly, clinicals are just something you can’t do correctly online. She finished out her mental health clinicals a week before starting her Junior year clinicals which will be at Elkhart General Hospital. Coincidently, this is where she works. AND just started a new position as Emergency Room tech. The ER is where she wants to be after graduating, as of now and even her boss told her that this will be a make or break for her. So far, so good. Gabi sent texts when she was in on her first trauma and her preceptor even took a photo I will share brow. She also, however, saw a pretty awful trauma with an even worse back story in her first week working. But she came home, talked it out, had a good cry and verified to us and herself that she was made for this job. I am so very proud of this girl!

Jenny Came To Town!

Jenny got into town yesterday. She plans to take Pam and her kids to NC for a few days rather than stay in Indiana the whole time so we planned a gathering at Central Park to visit with everyone before they take off.
