March Madness - Moran Style

Eli played in March Madness again for Moran (this time 2nd grade) and Lennox cheered.  So much fun watching them!

Weekend 2 - Gabi's Birthday Round 2 and Mom's Birthday

Gabi rounded out her birthday with a second outing with friends that couldn't celebrate the weekend prior.  She decided on Corby's this time and I was able to go hang with them.  A good time and she looked so very happy - finally.  I'm so proud of her finding herself again.  Working out, working with her therapist, working toward her work goals and taking time for herself.  She is her mother's daughter.

It was no accident that my daughter was born on International Women's Day.  Gabi woke up to a "Happy Birthday" banner and cute little daisy decor in the hallway just outside her room.  She had already planned the day out with a trip to Ivy Alley Social House in South Bend to play some duck bowling with the family and a few of her closest friends - Journei, Amber and Brit.  We had a BLAST!  Gabi was the big winner - and rightly so.  Afterward, she chose Saltgrass for a steak dinner with my parents and Trenton.  And the weather worked in her favor as well.  Sunny and close to 60 degrees outside!  A beautiful day, just like my Gabi!

Gunnar Meets Dr. Martin

I hear alot about Gabi's favorite ER doctor- Dr. Martin.  Not only because he is good at what he does and is one of the nicest people you were ever meet, but because his family also has a weener dog that they adore.  Gabi and Dr. Martin share dachshund stories and discussing their dogs' love of cheese and naps and acting bigger than what they are.  Last night Gabi asked me to bring Gunnar to the ER to meet Dr. Martin.  The nurses and doctors were so excited to meet him.  Dr. Martin even brought him a cup of cheese cubes to eat (just a few).  Gunnar was a bit shy and nervous, but the docs and nurses used him as a therapy dog last night :) They loved meeting him. And I know Gabi loved that Dr. Martin finally got to meet Gunnar too.
