Senior Academic Excellence Celebration

We celebrated Gabi and her achievement of 3.5 gpa for 7 semesters. The students got to invite an influential educator and she chose Mr. Gregg Smith, her Biology teacher. Sooo very proud of her.

Pre Easter Celebration

The family got together for Easter since we all will be going our separate ways next week for Spring Break. I think its safe to say that Madden had a good time with the kiddos.

Run Forrest Run 2018

Had a goal to try and win my age group at the Run Forrest Run this year.  I decided to do the 5K in this race since I ran a 10K just a couple weeks ago.  Annnnnd, goal achieved.  And a PR to boot!
25:33 was my official time and I got first in my age group!  I am beginning to actually believe I run faster in the cold considering I have hit PR's in both races this year and the temps have been below 30 degrees!
Regardless of the temps, Ben, Gabi and Kylee showed up to cheer me on!

End of the Year Banquet

Today we had Gabi's LAST End of the Year Cheer Banquet.  It was very very bittersweet.  Gabi got her three year Varsity Award, and Most Spirited Award.  Coach Lana also took time to have the Seniors come up front with their parents and asked the girls to say a "Thank You" to their parents.  Talk about a tear jerker.  Gabi shed plenty but was so heartfelt.  It will definitely be something to remember forever. The coaches also acknowledged Danielle and me for all our hard work through the years.  Very much appreciated.  If you have Google Drive, please take time to go to this link and watch the video that was shared.  Again, very bittersweet.  CANNOT. Last Awards Banquet

Last night was Gabi's last Awards Banquet for Winter Sports.  She received the Scholar Athlete award as many times before.  I believe she actually has received this award throughout her high school years.  Very proud of her.  Here is the video they shared at the Banquet.

Madden

We got to spend some quality time with our little step grandson, Madden this past weekend.  Some go carts and putt putt was on the agenda.  And McDonalds to top off the evening on Sunday.  Had a great time and so very excited that he is warming up to us.

Last Party

Because the house is in despair because of the flooding in our basement, we had Gabi's last birthday party with family at my parents' house.  Was a hit!
