Reese-Senior Night Basketball

We celebrated Reese on Thursday at her basketball game.  She fought through her ankle injury to play some and even had some points!  I can't believe my brother's last baby is going to graduate this year!  So proud of Reese!  Love her so much!

Trenton Turns 35

Trenton invited a couple friends (Steven Sandefer and Joe Calderone/his wife), my parents, Gabi, Tyler and family and me to come and rent a bay with him and Joanna (she came up from Indy for the weekend) at NetPar - a cool new place that has about 5-6 bays that have golf course simulators in Mishawaka.  All indoors.  I made his favorite yellow cake/chocolate frosting, and we got a couple of appetizers for everyone.  Tyler and family were unable to come, but we had a blast!  Everyone tried it at least once!  And to top off the celebration - Trenton is celebrating 200 days on his actual birthday (yesterday, the 24th) of being sober.  So very proud of him!

And Trenton won the golf session!  Very fitting indeed.

Bowling Tradition

Started out the New Year with a bowling afternoon with the kids and grands again yesterday.  This time we went to OC Lanes since Parkway had Leagues when we could all get together.  Oh...and a great evening it was...The Chicago Bears beat the Packers in the Wild Card round of the playoffs!  At the half they were down 3-21.  Came back in basically the fourth quarter, as they have most of the year beating them 31-27!  Bear Down!

Welcome 2026

New Year's Eve was very chill.  I was very blessed to get the Friday after Christmas off and also the Friday after New Year's Day.  It worked out great for me to get all of the Christmas put away and clean.  Gabi and I worked very hard going through things and just cleaning!  Letting go of things and it felt great!  Gabi went through her closets, dressers, books, etc.  She did an awesome job for as connected as she is with all of her "things."  

Gabi and I ended up going to the Casino the Saturday after Christmas just to get out of the house.  We weren't winners but it was a good time.  And we had a chill New Year's Eve just playing Tapple and drinking some wine.  The weather was not the best either, so I was happy to stay in.  And we took JoAnna out for lunch at Vinyl Tap and Table yesterday before she headed back home to Indy.  A good time getting to know her a bit more and just spending a little of our afternoon with her.  She's a gem.
