The first home game at Mishawaka is never disappointing!  And we pulled out a win!  Go Cavemen!  New coaches, new routines, new chants, new stunts...all great!

St. Louis with the Strzelecki Family

Our neighbors, the Strzelecki Family have been neighbors with us...well, since we moved in back in 1999. Our kids grew up with theirs (Kayle, TJ and Abby).  TJ is the boys' age and he got married over the weekend in St. Louis...his new home.  I originally wanted the boys to be able to go with us, but they both ended up not able to go.  We still decided to go because we love their kids so much and TJ was gracious enough to invite us, not to mention, we have never been to St. Louis.  Got up 7:30am Saturday and made it just in time for the wedding at 2pm.  Made the trip home Sunday afternoon.
What a beautiful wedding and the whole Strzelecki family told us multiple times how awesome it was that we came.  Our neighbor (between us - Mary Beth) actually came too and we all had a blast!!!  So glad we were able to join in the festivities with their family.  Just another reminder of how fast time goes.  The kids don't stay little for long.  Brought back some Ooey Gooey Butter Cake - which we tasted and fell in love with ... a specialty in St. Louis!

Portage Game

The Cavemen won their first game against the Portage Indians on Friday evening...Gabi was so excited to start cheering again for football.  Can't believe it's already time!
