Family Party for Gabi

We celebrated Gabi last Saturday evening.  Trenton even made it home for the party!  She got lots of cash for her Spring Break trip to Florida (with Kylee's family).  Just what she needed/wanted.  So thankful for family!  On Sunday, we headed over to Jeff and Pam's to celebrate Bren as well.  It was nice to have the kiddos together!

Winter Sports Banquet

On Tuesday evening we had the Winter Sports Banquet at the school.  Gabi received Scholar Athlete (above a 3.2 GPA for fourth quarter with no D's or F's) and she also got Most Valuable Cheerleader Award!

Gabi Turns 17

This post is a bit late but we took Gabi out to eat at one of her favorite places...Olive Garden.  And she took her two favorite people...her boyfriend, Dylan and her best friend, Kylee.  She got a bathing suit she wanted, money to shop at the outlets, and a makeup pallet from us.  Dylan came over after school and put 17 balloons in her room, each one attached to a photo of them.  How sweet!  She was blessed with a great birthday.

Cheer Banquet

The Cavemen Cheer Club put on their end of the year banquet yesterday afternoon at D'Amici's Club in Mishawaka.  Gabi actually got "Most Valuable Cheerleader" award for the Varsity Squad!  Turned out to be a beautiful event...catered by The Skillet and almost all 130 people showed up!

Can't believe next year is her last year cheering for Mishawaka High School!  Please say it ain't so!

Sarah Strong 5K

My first 5K is in the books...28th overall out of 177 and 2nd in my age group (female 40-44)
Time wasn't a PR but did well considering it was only 22 degrees F and very cold!  First race I've had to wear a headband and gloves!  I could barely feel my feet the first half of the race!  So, this race is setting up for my first half marathon on June 3rd - the Sunburst.  Part of the training I guess you could say...
Ben was there with me to support me while Gabi had her SAT test this morning.  A good day indeed with a time of 27:33
