Happy Holidays!

We made it! We had a great Christmas! We opened our "special gifts" on Christmas Eve day. I got a new kitchen carousel (with all kinds of utensils, etc. on it) from Trenton, Trenton got some new Nike socks for wrestling along with some Nike warm up pants from Ben, Ben got some new slippers and a booklight from Cindy, Tyler got a new holster for his cell phone and Tommy Boy DVD from Gabi, and Gabi got a new CD "boombox" from Tyler. The letters were the best though...very personal and thoughtful from everyone. In the afternoon we visited mom R's grave...left a candle burning toward evening so it would last overnight in her memory-a thoughtful time. We spent Christmas Eve with my mom's side of the family at my parents' house. Great food and lots of laughter! Euchre tournament and lots of reminiscing. Congrats to Billy (my cousin) and his new fiance also!Christmas Day we opened our gifts here and enjoyed Santa's gifts. We also went to Chad and Amber's house for brunch. We had fun opening gifts and visiting with them as well. We would later return in the evening for some "cur rum" as Trenton calls it (Carrom). The boys really took to that game...and old game made new I guess. We also played some Cranium and Taboo. Lots of laughter there as well. In the afternoon though, we visited dad R, Dave, Pam, Jeff and Bren. It was good to see them and visit. We exchanged gifts there as well. It was certainly a busy day but we enjoyed it thoroughly! I may post lots of pictures on my family web page for everyone to enjoy but will let you know when they are up.
