Just recently, when Gabi was about 2, we decided to add a book on Christmas Eve, A Special Place For Santa by Jeanne Pieper. What a special book! And did you know that even though the boys are 15 and 14, they still like to sit with Gabi to hear these stories! I think they enjoy being "taken back" to when they were her age and back to the Christmas excitement and magic of it all. I just love traditions we create as a family!

this blog reminds me of the family traditions ben and i grew up with- dad reading the story of jesus's birth in chapter luke, for one year or maybe two,i am not sure,mom would read passages from-the christmas mouse-(great book)and also the night before christmas.i love family traditions so much!-pammy
We still do that too Pam...Ben always reads the Christmas story out of the Bible on Christmas morning before we open gifts - just to remind us that Jesus was the ultimate gift! Thanks for reminding me about those times also...they are all so special...
