The competition team went to Saint Francis last evening and competed again aganist IWU and St. Francis. It is difficult competing against such big teams but we are thankful for the experience AND we also had a full set of cheerleaders so no deductions for that! We earned a 64.8 as a best score. Not too shabby!
Of course, we came in third overall.

Saint Francis
Bethel lost a close one to Saint Francis last night...unfortunate after that big win against #3 in the Nation last weekend! Ughhhhh but they had Senior Night and said a farewell to Graham Kelly. Gabi hasn't known him long but he is definitely a good friend to her. He will be missed greatly next year!
Also pretty cool to have Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Carol and Lizzie come see Gabi, along with Maw Maw and Paw Paw and Aunt Pam made it too! Gabi is LOVED.

Spring Arbor
Talk about a great game! Bethel beat #3 in the Nation NAIA Spring Arbor today 85-76! Gabi had another big group come watch her cheer...maw maw, paw paw, grandma Jones, Uncle Kenny and Aunt Sharon, Ryan (her bf), Trenton and cousins Joe and Mary Ellen! She's really such a lucky girl to have so many family members who love and support her!

Grace
Bethel beat arch rival Grace handedly tonight. Enjoyed watching!! Ben even gave us a little half time show by winning a 2 liter of soda for the 3 point challenge! Check it out below...also pics of two Mishawaka alumni in a two man stunt...Journei and Gabi. So fun to watch them.
IWU Competition
Bethel competed last night at Indiana Wesleyan. There were four teams...St. Francis, Union, IWU and Bethel. IWU and St. Francis had approximately 20-25 cheerleaders on their team...Union had about 15. From what Gabi explained, Union came from Kentucky (a 9 hour drive and is a smaller college like Bethel) and they were most comparable to Bethel. Our team had 7 members because 2 have yet to get their NAIA eligibility. We took a big deduction for that so we came in 3rd. We would have placed 2nd if we would have had a complete team. Not to mention, Bethel was the only team that hit every singe stunt and did not fall during BOTH performances. Very proud of this team. They got a 45 score at their first competition. This time they got a 58 (minus 5 point deduction for an incomplete team). So VERY excited for them. Gabi was extremely happy.
