Christmas Eve

You know the drill…my parents for moms side of the family. Lots of food. Many laughs. But this year Ben took us through Winding Brook the way we used to do when I was young after our house for Christmas Eve. Kinda bummed the Christmas Eve service was cancelled at church. But so glad it’s a white Christmas. Thankful that God sent such a gift to earth. We are ready to receive Him tomorrow. 

Christmas Eve Morning

Was snowed in yesterday because of the blizzard so I worked on all things food and of course a lot of snuggling under blankets. This morning seemed a little better. Made some stuffed blueberry French toast and sausage for breakfast and took Gabis gifts over to Tyler and Caitlyn so she could watch them open. She is scheduled to work tomorrow so she won’t be able to come with us over there in the afternoon. Her gifts were big hits all around. Christmas Eve service has been cancelled so we will be going to my parents for our Christmas Eve tradition with my moms side of the family. So glad it’s a white Christmas !  And thankful we’ve been snowed in to relax and take it all in a bit more. 

Girl Date

Enjoyed an evening out tonight with my daughter and my daughter in law at Bin 23. It was so nice to get away and just talk over a good meal and glass of wine. 

Reinoehl Side Christmas

Decided to include kids on the drawing this year so because everyone is so spread out we decided to not do the exchange but I made sure the kids had something small to open. The littles (Lennox and Eli) had surprise balls with plenty of little toys throughout. Madden “the gamer” got a winter hat that said “I’m gaming do not disturb” and candy, Bren “the new driver” got accessories for his car and an Air Force Reserves key chain. Leigh “the beautiful teen” got some beauty accessories. Colby “the fisherman” got some new fishing lures. I think they all enjoyed getting a little something. We did a brunch complete with egg casseroles, hash brown casserole, cinnamon rolls, sausage and some fruit. Everything was delicious and it was good to catch up.
