Last Home Game

Was blessed to be able to go to the last home game of the season with all three of my kids. Did some tailgating beforehand with the Fisher family, Tyler’s buddy, Juan and my neighbors- the Selesky’s. And just before halftime our favorite usher, Ricky, got us down on the 50 yard line; just about 8 rows up from the field!  And Chicago came to play at halftime with the ND band too!  Such a fun time with my kids. Some really great plays were made during the game and we pulled out a great win over Virginia!

Mishawaka vs LaPorte

Mishawaka pulled out a win over LaPorte tonight. So glad to see Reese play basketball after injuries. She had 9 points all together! 

ND vs James Madison

The lady Irish pulled out a big win against James Madison tonight. Was nice to meet Gabi after we both worked (she worked at ND Wellness Center) at Jimmy John’s and then slid over to the women’s basketball game to watch. Got to catch up with my girl and enjoy some fun together time!

Veteran’s Day

Working at the City I was able to be in the know for a Veteran’s Brick program they are doing at Battell Park - Veteran’s Walkway. It was a buy a brick program so Chad and I went in together to get my dad a brick for Father’s Day to be put in at Battell along walkway. He found it today. 

Florida State Game

The only night game for ND was last night against Florida State with a big win!  Enjoyed some great seats with one of my guys from IT and had a blast!  And Jon Bin Jovi was there!  Go Irish!!

Gunnar’s Wheels

The week before Halloween Gunnar started acting as if his back was hurt. He tried jumping on the couch and missed on a Thursday. By Saturday morning he could not stand in his hind legs. I took him to the Emergency Vet in Mishawaka because Dr Anderson was out of office til Tuesday. They told me he had IVDD which is a ruptured disk in his spine. They gave me steroids, a muscle relaxer and a pain reliever, told me he had some deep pain so hopefully in 24-48 hours he would show improvement. By Sunday he was the same and losing control of his urination. Took him back. This time they said he didn’t have any deep pain and would probably be paralyzed. I was not ready to give up on a handicapped dog. So I saw Dr Anderson on Tuesday. He said the only option is Walkin Wheels if I wanted to help him. So I ordered a set of wheels right away. By this time Gunnar was off meds and holding his urine much better. I think the muscle relaxers were to blame there. But on Friday evening we got the wheels put together and figured out and we have one HAPPY pup!  I’m so glad we didn’t give up on him!!!  And he’s actually starting to show some feeling / deep pain!!!  This dog is resilient!  Just like his mama!

ND vs Long Island University - Hockey

Been a minute since I’ve been to a hockey game but had sooo much fun tonight watching the Irish win!
